Springs is HERE!

Osiyo!! I'm Radene Marie-Cook. I'm a mixed-blood American Indian women who is an Artist, a Writer and an Intractable Pain Patient. Welcome...: ~~~~~~~~~~~ "For everything there is a SEASON, and a time for everything under Heaven..." Spring is most definately here, whether one knows by the calender alone or by the tufts of last years "Johnny Jump-ups" struggling to break through the winter-hardened ground, the signs are clear. What does springtime mean for you? Spring cleaning? Planning your garden for those "May Flowers" promised by the nusery rhyme. Whatever IS on your agenda, I challenge you to not ONLY tend to the "hardened ground" in your flower beds, but that in your heart as well. Take a good cutting tool to that soil and break up what a season of neglect as left flat and hard. No, I'm not talking about our outside gardens this time, I'm talking about the landscape in our hearts. Too quickly, we can allow hurts and insults to sit near the top of our emotions, forming a hard layer that keeps things trapped in or out - and USUALLY not in the direction that can do us any good! As this Spring Equinox rolls by, I challenge you to break up any neglected "soil" in your hearts and see what that new leaf looks like when you turn it over! It could just set a new trend! One area in which to renew and activate your heart is one that I've been involved in lately - the 9/12 Project with Glenn Beck. I think this was a GREAT IDEA:It tells you to REMIND YOURSELF who you promised to be on 9/12/01, the day after the terror attack on America. Return to the spirituality, the mercy the goodness, the kindness that we promised ourselves we would walk in toward our fellow man (you know, those brothers and sisters God talks about alot? Yeah. them!)It's one thing at least. For more info, try www.the912project.com Most importantly, break up some of the old stuff in your life so the new can come BUSTING THROUGH!! Have fun and ... stop by here and bring your friends! (It'll help I swear!) Radene Marie I'm glad you are here. I have some new paintings that have to do with the busy-ness and hardhip of life as well as some to make you laugh -- ALWAYS a necessity, I believe. But mostly we have things here just for you to look at and enjoy finding yourself in. Remember, I have more than paintings here... everything is a story on canvas - so don't forget to read... and THEN look at the pictures again! Ah Better than grade school. Thank you for coming, welcome, and have fun! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ WE NOW HAVE PAYPAL!. All artwork is now available for immediate sale on PayPal, so if you've been witing for that -- your wait is over.Be sure to notice that we now have GICLEE' PRINTS OF "DIVIDED SOUL" FOR SALE!! The saying It takes a VILLAGE can be said about many systems of nurturing. One I am especially familiar with is that of being a pain patient advocate. In this piece, you see the scars bourn on the body of each heart surrounding the newly broken one in the center. When ones body is damaged by injury and pain, the heart and soul breaks right along with it. Scars come with healing and restoration and TIME. It is after that time of being tended ourselves that we can then turn back around and offer help, advice, and love those things that nurture and restore to those who are broken and we can walk the road of recovery together.

"Advocates VILLAGE" is currently on display in Radene Marie’s Gallery Collection.

This Gallery Collection currently spans 23 works.
